It is assumed that apprentices who complete this course have completed some formal ground navigation instructions, have a minimum of familiarity with visual navigation, have completed a period of supervised port guards, and have previously completed the basic radar / harp (MC. 107). Students must also have considerable familiarity with the personal computer operating systems, keyboards and mice.
