To be admitted to the course, all students must present a medical certificate signed by a doctor to ensure they are in good health. They must also hold a certificate of proficiency in the handling of survival craft in the handling of survival craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats in accordance with regulation VI / 2, paragraph 1 of the STCW 1995 agreement.
